Extreme Poverty in Mexico

A father of four children abandons his family in Mexico and chooses to start an entirely new life again in Australia.

We were together for 20 years and married for seventeen years.

He has mental health issues, resulting from his military career, yet the Australian Defence Force deems it all right to destroy our lives and wipe their hands of the situation.

Our living conditions in Mexico could have easily been avoided if the Australian Government was proactive and ensured Retired Infantry Officer, Captain Kieron Michael Mark Sullivan, paid child support for our four children.

"Parents are responsible for the financial support of their child/ren. The Department of Human Services is responsible for administering Australia’s child support scheme. You cannot apply to the Family Court or the Federal Circuit Court for this."

My four children and I were abandoned in Mexico - I received NO Australian Government assistance and NO child support from the father. Nineteen months later we were forced back to Australia just so my children could be removed from me. I tried my best to be a good mother whilst in Mexico. I was extremely disadvantaged. I don't think I would have survived on a benefit in Australia either with four children, without child support being paid. I was in the worse of situations in Mexico, which was not my doing. It was the result of my ex-husband abandoning his family in another country, and not been held accountable for his actions.

Since I arrived back into Australia on 8th March 2019, I have received NO help from the Australian Government. I have looked into many options to free myself from the perils of being the victim of domestic violence. It is impossible to become FREE from Domestic Violence when Retired Officer, Captain Kieron Sullivan is financially controlling my life.

How am I ever going to get my children back? He won't even allow me to see them.

The father is the perpetrator of domestic violence, and all four children are at risk of negative long terms effects.

I contacted the United Nations numerous times.

IS IT EASIER TO IGNORE THE PROBLEM?

The Australian Government's lack of assistance resulted in me becoming homeless. I had no friends in Australia by the time I had arrived back. Kieron Sullivan had lied to many people about what really happened in Mexico. They believed him and not me. It is very typical of someone with a narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) to fabricate the truth to suit their agenda. What is a Narcissist?

Whilst I was homeless on the streets in Brisbane City, I phoned the Australian Government Department of Human Services to follow up with the outstanding 19 months child support that Kieron Sullivan did not pay while we were in Mexico. And to this day, he still hasn't paid me anything.

The Government staff advised me that paperwork was sent to Mexico for me to sign.

I did not receive any paperwork.

A point of interest: Any important mail I was expecting from Australia to Mexico never arrived.

That included two Suncorp Visa Debit Cards.

I spoke to several Canadians who live in Lo de Marcos full time, and they advised me that they never had the same mail problems as I had.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE - bad luck for me - YET AGAIN!

I wrote to Kieron Sullivan and made it clear many times about how difficult it was going to be to survive without his assistance.

I also contacted the Australian Government/Department of Defence, Human Resources, Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service (VVCS), Defence Community Organisaton (DCO), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), United Nations, the Return Services League (RSL) . I contacted numerous people in different departments and not-for-profit organisations.

WHY WAS THE PERPETRATOR OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ALLOWED TO WALK FREE?

We were living in extreme poverty, due to Kieron Sullivan abandoning his family. How was I suppose to deal with meditation in another country? This is the perfect example of someone who has Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

He also put my mother in the hospital. She has been financially burdened due to his irresponsible actions. He has destroyed many people's lives, which will be presented as my story unfolds.

How can I be blamed for not being able to support my children? It doesn't start immediately, even after any normal separation. What happened to us was NOT NORMAL. It was EXTREME!
