Before Sarah came into my life, it was all about the boys. They were active boys and required lots of fun and adventure. That meant I had to be an active mum. No biggie, I grew up where is was all about living a simple healthy active lifestyle.
Boys will be boys, they are inquisitive, adventurous, and always on the go.
My boys were certainly very active when they were younger.
Mark, Matthew and Joshua - My Crazy Fun Boys.
I love them with all my heart xoxoxo

I was always an active mother.
I prefer the outdoors, rather than staying in the house, watching TV, sitting behind a computer, or playing X-Box for hours.
That was always a problem with my ex-husband and me. he was away so often that when he was back at home, he needed time to adjust. It was always very difficult for him to live two lives, and not bring his work home (it was always in his head). I would have to 'drag' HIM out places, it was never fun for him, he was impatient, he bored very quickly, and couldn't wait to get back home. He never felt comfortable being out in public. His safe haven was at home, and around his work mates.
So, most of our adventures was about me and the kids.

The girls were part of our family.
We never treated them like 'employees'.
By the time Sarah came along, I needed more assistance around the home. I invited young women from all over the world to experience Aussie living with a Real Australian family.
They worked as an au pair, but I did not like referring to them as employees. They were more like a big sister to the kids, helped out around the house, and helped me mange the children on outings.
They had free board and food, and I also paid them pocket money each week, for working approx. 35 hours. I was flexible with the hours, and their help allowed me to work as a Professional Portrait Photographer.

Kieron was always away for work, and when he was home, I couldn't rely on him to help with the children. He was often exhausted and needed his space.
In 2012, Kieron was away for most of the year.
He deployed to Afghanistan in January 2012.
Five weeks later Sarah was born.
He was gone for six months.
He returned for four weeks, then left again to go on an exercise.
He turned for eight weeks, then he left again to attend a course.
He was home for a total of three months in 2012!
Travelling was difficult due to the military. I love travel, but money and the military lifestyle didn't allow for much travel while Kieron was in active service.
My attitude, why not bring the world to us. And it was great learning for my children, meeting amazing people from different cultures, different countries, and different backgrounds.
It was about teaching my children to love one another, and accept people for who they are - not matter where they came from around the world.
As a BONUS we got to experience Home-Style International Cuisine.
Food is an important part of a country's culture and way of life.
It's All About The Food Baby!
Yummy Yummy for my Tummy!
.
Our AWESOME au pair girls came from France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, England, Spain, and South Korea.
I LOVE EVERYONE
I had no idea I was suppose to HATE people from different Nationalities.
I think I missed that one???

The girls were part of our family. We never treated them like 'employees'. They became 'big sisters' to the boys, and we were so lucky to have them.
We treated each other with RESPECT, and we all worked well as a team.
We had super fun outings together, and they were always great company and an AMAZING help. They helped me get through the bad times, and helped me focused one what matter most in my life; MY CHILDREN!
